The villa takes its name from Giulia Dejean, who inherited the estate from her late husband Assennato da Pachino, who had acquired it from the Di Lorenzo family to establish a cotton plantation there.
Dejean, who married Giovanni Di Lorenzo Cannizzaro as her second husband, brother of the Marquis of Castelluccio, was the creator of the construction of the small house with the elevated manor house, which was built in 1874 according to the project conceived and outlined in 1813 by the civil engineer Bernardo Labisi.
In it, the architect had placed the main entrance, with the staircase leading to the first level and a portico supported by columns and concluded by a stone parapet, found in the residences of Frigintini and Castelluccio and in the Trigona Palace in Noto. Villa Giulia, conceived as a country residence and center for storing the wines produced by the vineyards that stretched over the hills of the former fief, is now a tourist accommodation structure that still shows the places of the pressing and the large "rooms" where the fragrant and strong red wines matured in the immense barrels.
The project, whose main facade is preserved by Vincenzo Giunta Bova, father of Anna Maria Giunta, the current owner, appears more expanded with a central body inserted between rusticated pilasters.
